We are excited this month to begin our Children's Literacy Project "Imagination Library" in conjunction with the Dolly Parton Foundation and with a $2,000 Simplified Grant we have been awarded from District 7780. Our dream is that we will impact the minds of children with an excitement to learn and read increasing cognitive development. We will be providing one age appropriate book every month to children five and under for free and delivered to their homes. The program runs from birth until age five just before entering Kindergarten. This is a great way for Parents to spend time reading to their children.
Come join us for a chuck wagon style meal, good fellowship and fundraising on September 18th from 5-7PM at Elizabeth Seton Church in Fryeburg. This years proceeds will be going to the Fryeburg Fireman's Fund. Chief Ozzie Sheaff says that they will be needing new radios by 2011 as the frequency will no longer be able to be used. The department is also in need of a Defribrillator(AED) for their Firetruck. The cost of supper is $8.00/adult and $5.00 for children twelve and under. Plan to come and show your support to the community of Fryeburg and their Vital Fireman department.
